Ambition - Sailing Adventure - Merrill and Maryse

I decided a few years back that I really wanted to enjoy the cruising lifestyle on board a boat. With Maryse along side, I had a soul mate that also embraced the same dream. After a couple of return trips to the Bahamas I realized that the boat I had, although well equipped and fitted out, was not the boat on which I wanted to cross larger stretches of water. Hence the shopping began for a new boat. The end result was the purchase of Ambition .... a beautiful Hylas 46.

Yesterday our guests headed back to the northern tundra – it was so much fun having them on board. Today, Dan headed back to Montreal also – I can’t thank him enough for all his hard work, skinned knuckles and effort to get Ambition into shape. Without his help we would still be in Palmetto crossing stuff off the list – I will always be grateful for his commitment to making Ambition right – BIG THANKS DAN – a great friend!!!

We are sitting in Key West awaiting a weather window to make the run to Bimini in the Bahamas. So far Sunday looks like the best day to go ... will check the weather again tomorrow.
